Taylor

Taylor Swift may be the most unique of pop artists: one who was able to successfully cross the divide between pop and country while sweeping the globe. Swift removed the influences of country in the sense that they had been added as an extra layer of skin, revealing she was one of the most talented singers/songwriters in her time. Swift could make the event personal and use the moment to benefit. The skills she displayed could be seen in her first tracks, including the Neodue Tim McGraw. But on her sophomore album Fearless released in 2008 Swift discovered her true identity and gain audiences across the globe. The album ended up with a lot of legs not only within the U.S. where it racked seven platinum singles thanks to Top Ten hits Love Story and Belong with Me Belong with Me but throughout the globe, performing especially well in Canada, the U.K. Canada and Australia. Swift was able to consolidate her progress through Speak Now almost two year later. In the three subsequent albums the three albums that followed -- Red 2012 1989, Red 2012 along with Reputation 2017, her success only grew. This was a sure indication that she was in a new pop world which she was able to fit into. Even when she scaled back her approach with 2020's stripped-down sister album folklore, and Evermore she continued to be atop of the charts, a place she maintained with re-recordings of her back catalog along with Midnights the top charting synth heavy 2022 set.
