Dolly-Parton
Dolly Parton was born on January 19, 1946, in Locust Ridge Tenn. She was raised with 12 other kids. She had a vivid imagination that enabled her to escape the grim realities of life. She was writing songs before she was able to write or read. When she was 8 at the time, she purchased the first electric guitar she owned and began to sing at a Knoxville Tenn Radio Station. That same year she released her debut album on Gold Band Records an independent small-scale label. As a student in high school, she garnered a name in the local music scene but was always dreaming of a larger stage. She relocated to Nashville the day after graduating in 1964. The first charting record she had from Monument Records included Dumb Blonde and Something Fishy both in 1967. Porter Wagoner, a syndicated presenter on television at the time, was in search for a woman to sing for his program. Parton was appointed in the year 1967 was signed to RCA Records by 1968, becoming a member of the Grand Ole Opry. Parton left the show however, in 1974 due to her solo albums, like Joshua Coat Of Many Colors and Jolene beat out their collaborative albums. Parton After the dissolution of their collaboration with Wagoner, wrote"I'll Always Be Loved" by You and managed to make it the top spot at No. The first time it made it to Number 1 was in 1974.
