Arianna Huffington
Arianna Stassinopoulos Huffington resides in the US. She is a Greek-American writer, syndicated writer of columns and a businesswoman. She was the founder of The Huffington Post and the director of Thrive Global. Author of more than 15 books. Arianna Huffington has worked as an actor, journalist writer, philanthropist, and philanthropist for more than ten years. She is also the owner of The Huffington Post, an independent, liberal online newsmagazine. She emigrated from Greece to England when she was 16 years old, and obtained a MA from Cambridge University in Economics. The infamous debating society The Cambridge Union was her first time as president, and she held it at the age of 21. When she graduated, she made her name as columnist in the conservative syndicated media and, with the launching of The Huffington Post' few years later she created an online voice platform that gave critical opinions about the current political climate. Her fame and popularity helped to get a number of prominent contributors to post their views about news from the world of politics and culture. Arianna first gained notoriety when she ran in California's recall vote, to succeed Governor Davis. She also headed a Detroit fuel-efficient car project. Forbes listed her as the most influential woman in the field of media in 2009. The newspaper was ranked as at 12th place on their ranking. The Guardian added her to the list of 100 most influential media outlets in the year 2009. AOL purchased The Huffington Post from AOL in 2011. In 2012, she became the president of the AOL media group. It was comprised of several AOL-owned brands, including Engadget AOL Style List and Patch Media. Elli was the son of Konstantinos, a journalist and management consultant. Although she had a close relationship to her father, her connection to her mom was the defining factor in the rest of her life. Even as a young girl, she showed leadership traits which she is still renowned for. She moved to England at 16, to pursue her education and was accepted into Girton College Cambridge. In her college years she was a member of Cambridge Union. Cambridge Union debating group where she was elected the first woman and the only foreign president. In 1972, she graduated with the degree of Master's in Economics. She worked as a critic as well as a host on TV and a columnist after her graduation. She was on the show with Bernard Levin on an edition Face the music, and she started writing her own books with his aid.
