StephanieStephanie Sigman is a Mexican American actress. Her first role was in the film Miss Bala, a Mexican crime drama film Miss Bala. Her subsequent roles include appear in Pioneer (2013), Spectre (2015), Going Under (2016), and Annabelle: Creation (2017). On TV, Sigman starred in Narcos (2015) and S.W.A.T (2017) for the first and second seasons of both shows. Sigman was born to a Mexican mother and an American dad, Lee Sigman, who is a New York Yankees scout. She is a citizen of the United States through her father. Her brother who is a baseball player Kenneth Ray Sigman, was formerly married to actress Barbara Mori Sigman began her career appearing on Mexican television, and later made her film debut in Rio de Oro. She played the principal role of Laura Guerrero (Miss Bala) in the Mexican crime drama. The film was nominated as the Mexican entry in the Best Foreign Language Film category at the 84th Academy Awards.[7][8But, it was not included in the final list. For her film performance, Sigman was nominated in 2011 for the Dublin Film Critics Circle Award. She was a part of the Canadian documentary, Flight of the Butterflies the following year. In 2013, Sigman starred with Pioneer the film, a Norwegian thriller.
